Double-doubles by McClure and Farrall lead Bentley to 92-68 win over Barry

LAKELAND, Fla. – Cash McClure and Cooper Farrall both put up 20-point double-doubles to lead the Bentley men's basketball team to a 92-68 win over Barry Saturday evening. The game was hosted by Florida Southern as part of the Mocs Christmas Classic.

McClure scored 26 points and pulled down 11 boards, and Farrall totaled 23 points and matched McClure's rebounding output. It was the second double-double of the season for McClure, and the fifth for Farrall.

Making his second start of the season, Osiris Nalls scored 19 points while shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range. Joe Carroll scored 10 points off the bench, shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor.

Bentley (6-3) shot a season-best 48.0-percent from 3-point range (12-for-25).

The Falcons found themselves in an early deficit when Barry (5-6) held a 19-10 lead  five minutes into the game. From there, McClure scored eight unanswered points, including two 3-pointers, to bring the Falcons to within a point.

Bentley claimed its first lead, 27-26, when Farrall knocked down a 3-pointer. The lead reached double figures, 45-34, when Chase Clarke scored two fastbreak points. The halftime score favored Bentley, 50-41.

The Falcons opened the second half with a 9-3 run. A fastbreak layup by McClure increased Bentley's lead to 59-44 just two minutes into the second half. Following the second half's opening minute, Bentley led by double figures for the remainder of the period. The lead got as high as 29 points.

Bentley returns home New Year's Eve to host St. Thomas Aquinas at 3 p.m.
