WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Marc Cedrone earned his first win of 2025, and Parker had his first three-hit game of the season as the Bentley baseball team wrapped up its spring break trip with a 7-3 win at Palm Beach Atlantic Wednesday night.
Cedrone allowed only two earned runs in his 6.2-inning start. He walked one and struck out two.
Bentley took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when
Stan DeMartinis III hit a double and came in to score on a base hit by
Jimmy Mitchell. The Sailfish answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the stanza, but Bentley posted two runs in the third inning.
With two outs and
Tommy Bolton on first,
Brendan Sencaj kept the inning alive with a single. DeMartinis then reached base on an error by the third baseman, and Bolton came in to score on the play. The next batter – Mitchell – singled to score Sencaj.
Bentley pushed its lead to 6-1 in the sixth inning.
David VanderZouwen led off by reaching base on an error. He came in to score when the next batter – Coleman – also reached on an error.
Rene Nunez and Sencaj both hit RBI singles in the frame.
Coleman finished the game 3-for-4 at the plate, while Sencaj and Mitchel came away with two hits, each.
The Falcons are set to play on the Bentley campus for the first time this season when they host Assumption for doubleheader Saturday, March 15, at 12 p.m.
