BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tommy Bolton and
Brendan Sencaj each collected a pair of hits, but the Bentley baseball team lost at Lynn, 14-4, Sunday.
Bolton went 2-for-4 out of the leadoff spot, and he scored twice. Sencaj, hitting right behind Bolton in the lineup, went 2-for-5 at the plate.
The Falcons posted two runs in the opening stanza, which began with a double hit by Bolton. Sencaj put runners on the corners with a single, and a passed ball allowed Bolton to score as Sencaj moved into scoring position. Another passed ball later in the inning gave Bentley a 2-0 lead.
Lynn rallied for five runs in the first inning, and it held an 11-2 lead after three innings.
Parker Coleman hit an RBI single in the seventh inning for the Falcons. In that same frame, Bolton drew a walk and ultimately came in to score on an error.
Bentley's spring break trip continues Monday, March 10, against Molloy. Lynn is hosting that game at 11 a.m.
