Five Different Players Score in 5-0 Win over Molloy in NE10 Opener

WALTHAM, Mass. – Five different players scored as Bentley field hockey kicked off Falcon Weekend with a 5-0 victory over Molloy in its first Northeast 10 game of the season.

Among the goal scorers was freshman Lilly Cook, who notched her first career goal early in the second quarter.

The Falcons led 2-0 after the opening 5:21 on goals by Layla Conway, her team leading third of the season, and Nicole Hartz, her first of the season.

Bentley didn't let its foot off the gas and scored twice in the first 2:16 of the second quarter. Cook scored off an assist from Nina Husak, and Gracie Moore added to the tally one minute later.

Senior McKenzie Carey scored Bentley's fifth goal after she redirected a centering pass on the far post from Madeline Krepelka. That was Krepelka's second assist of the game.

Bentley outshot the Lions 17-2 overall and did not allow a shot on the cage.

The Falcons will play their next two games on the road, starting on Wednesday at Saint Michael's.
