Men’s Soccer Launches 2025 Season in New Jersey

Michael Haikal
WALTHAM, Mass. – The 2025 season for the Bentley men's soccer team gets underway this week with a pair of games in New Jersey.

The Falcons take on Caldwell on Thursday at 4:00 pm to begin the year and face Georgian Court on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Both games are in Lakewood, N.J. on the campus of Georgian Court.

Bentley was 7-5-5 overall last season and 4-4-1 in the Northeast 10. They were unbeaten at home with a 6-0-1 record and made the NE10 playoffs for the third straight year and 12th time overall under head coach Gary Crompton.

Captains Michael Haikal, Cam Hall and Luke Mollenhauer form the leadership group as the team sets its sights on a strong 2025.

A midfielder who has been named All-Conference two straight years, Haikal brings his leadership and physical presence to the middle of the field.

Mollenhauer has started every match the last two years on the backline, 33 straight, and in 2024 he ranked third on the team in minutes played.

Starting goalkeeper Hall enjoyed a strong first season in Waltham after transferring from UNH. He was voted second team All-Conference and kept six clean sheets.

A big addition to the roster is the return of Lukas Drahos, who completed his undergrad in 2023 and spent last year in Spain. The Melrose, Mass., native was second team All-Conference in 2023 and was the leading goal scorer in both 2022 and 2023.

Junior Antonio Santos and sophomore Logan Veloria will look to join him as some of the team's top attackers.

The Falcons will be further boosted by a pair of Division I transfers in Michael Gouvin (UNH) and Garrett Burns (Fairfield).

After the two games on the road to open the season, the home opener is on Sept. 10 against Franklin Pierce in a non-conference game.

The first NE10 game is at home on Sept. 20 against Pace as part of Falcon Weekend. Senior Day is on Oct. 11 against St. Michael's and the regular season concludes on Nov. 4 at home against Post.
