Moore’s Overtime Goal Gives Bentley 3-2 Win over Southern New Hampshire

WALTHAM, Mass. – Gracie Moore scored 1:31 into overtime off a penalty corner to give Bentley a 3-2 win over Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

The win is Bentley's 5th straight and improved their NE10 record to 4-0 and 5-4 overall.

The OT goal came off a penalty corner sent in by Lindsay Jacobs to the top of the shooting circle to Moore, who ripped a shot that took a deflection and banged into the cage for the goal.

The goal was her 6th of the season and fifth straight game with a goal.

Bentley trailed 1-0 for most of the game after a goal by SNHU's Jade Hendriks with 1:56 left in the opening quarter.

The Falcons got the tying goal late in the third quarter, from Jacobs, with 17 seconds before the end of the quarter.

Nina Husak then gave Bentley a 2-1 lead 3:09 into the fourth quarter. Off a penalty corner that was sent in by Nicole Hartz to the top of the shooting circle, Husak fired a shot that got through traffic for the goal.

The Penmen then tied the game a little over four minutes later on a goal by Julia Giampietro.

The opening exchanges of overtime led to a penalty corner for the Falcons, which saw Jacobs set up Moore's winning strike.

Falcons goalie Annie Lorenz made nine saves to earn the win.

Bentley will look to continue its winning streak on Friday at home against Southern Connecticut.
