ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – A goal in the 37
th minute by Wilmington University's Maria Leguizamon was enough to give them a 1-0 victory over the Bentley women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.
Shots were even at 10 each with Wilmington having the slight edge in shots on goal, 7-6. Freshman
Tilly Fitzgibbons led Bentley with four total shots and three on goal.
Falcons keeper
Holly DiPalo finished with five saves.
Bentley finished its season opening trip to New York with a 1-1 record after they defeated Molloy on Thursday, 2-1.
The Falcons will now prep for their home opener, on Thursday against Assumption in a non-conference game.
