Five Falcons scored in double figures during Bentley's 79-45 win over American International this week (Jan. 14).
Cooper Farrall led the way with 18 points, and
Mantas Zilys scored 14 points off the bench.
Cash McClure and
Ivan Misic both finished with 12 points, and
Chase Clarke added 10. It was the third time this season that Bentley had five players score in double figures. The previous two instances were the first two games of the season against Dominican (N.Y.) (Nov. 14) and Caldwell (Nov. 15).

Junior
Cooper Farrall is on the Small College Basketball Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List, which "highlights many of the nation's top student-athletes competing across NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA programs." Farrall enters this weekend ranked fourth in the NE10 for scoring (15.7), fourth in rebounding (9.1), and seventh in field-goal percentage (53.5-percent).

Stacking double-doubles
Cash McClure posted 12 points and 10 rebounds against AIC (Jan. 14) for his fifth double-double of the season. He has four double-doubles in his last six games, with averages of 15.7 points and 8.8 rebounds during that stretch. Overall, McClure is averaging 14.8 points and 7.2 rebounds this season.

Bentley remains the top rebounding in the NE10, averaging 41.2 rebounds per game. It is the only conference team with three players who rank top 10 in rebounding.

Scouting Assumption (10-5, 5-1 NE10)
The Greyhounds' only conference loss so far this season was against Saint Michael's, 81-70 (Jan. 4). Since then, Assumption has consecutive wins over Adelphi (Jan. 7), AIC (Jan. 10), and Southern Connecticut (Jan. 13). Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton is the team's leading scorer, averaging 14.8 points per game. Daouda Dembele averages 12.3 points, while Noah Payne (11.1) and Zee McCown (11.0) average double figures in scoring. Dembele is Assumption's leading rebounder with an average of 4.5 boards per game. The Greyhounds' defense is allowing opponents to shoot 47.6-percent from the floor, which is the least favorable mark in the conference.
