Bentley plays for fourth consecutive NE10 win at Pace Wednesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's basketball team rides three consecutive Northeast 10 wins into a conference game at Pace Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 7:30 p.m. The Falcons are 11-5 overall, and 4-3 in the NE10.
 
Pick your poison
Bentley's win over Assumption (Jan. 17) marked the Falcons' second consecutive game with five players scoring in double figures – and the fourth such game overall this season. Cooper Farrall had 23 points against the Greyhounds, Cash McClure finished with 15 points, and Ivan Misic added 14 points. Playing off the bench, Mantas Zilys scored 12 points, and Joe Carroll had 10 points. The other games in which Bentley had five players score in double figures: American International (Jan. 14); Caldwell (Nov. 15); Dominican (N.Y.) (Nov. 14).
 
Bigger on the boards
Bentley enters Wednesday's game as the only NE10 team averaging more than 40 rebounds per game (40.8). The team's +5.8 rebound margin ranks second in the conference. The Falcons are the only team with three players who rank top 10 in the NE10 for rebounding. Cooper Farrall (8.9) ranks fourth, Chase Clarke (7.3) is eighth, and Cash McClure (7.1) is ninth.
 
Close 'em out
Bentley ranks second in the NE10 for free-throw percentage (79.5-percent), and the team's efficiency at the line has helped close out several wins this season. Cash McClure is the conference's top free-throw shooting, connecting on 92.0-percent of his attempts. He his tied for eighth in NCAA DII for free-throw percentage.

Cooper Farrall and Cash McClure both rank among the conference's top 10 in scoring. Farrall is fifth with 16.2 points per game, and McClure is 10th with 14.8 points per game.
 
Zi-xth man
Mantas Zilys has played exclusively off the bench this season, and he's averaging 10.5 points in 22 minutes per game. His 48.9 3-point percentage leads all NE10 players.

Always contesting
Bentley is limiting opponents 39.4-percent shooting from the floor this season, which stands as the best defensive mark this season.
 
Scouting Pace (8-7, 3-4 NE10)
Pace is the second-lowest scoring team in the NE10, averaging 66.3 points per game. However, it holds the conference's best scoring defense by allowing 63.1 points per game. Three Setters average double-digits in scoring, led by Jaden Kealey (13.1). Kealey is also the team's leading rebounder (7.7). Jabari Nurse averages 12.6 points per game, and Paxton Davidson averages 12.5. Pace enters Wednesday's game with three consecutive losses against Saint Michael's (Jan. 17), Adelphi (Jan. 13), and Saint Anselm (Jan. 10).
