BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore distance runner
Lily Tedford was Bentley's top finisher as the women's track and field team competed in meets at Harvard and Boston University this weekend.
Both meets featured athletes from all three NCAA divisions.
The Falcons began the weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University on Friday.
In the one mile, Tedford finished in the top third of runners in a field of 183 with a time of 5:00.79. That time places her near the top of the east region rankings in the indoor season so far.
Amelia Luetjen competed in the 800 (2:25.44) and
Samantha Doran ran the 3000 (10:31.35).
On Saturday at the Harvard Invitational, a host of runners competed in the sprint and distance events.
Freshman
Riley Mahoney was the team's top finisher in the 200 (28.07) and
India Haynesworth was the team's top finisher in the 400 (1:04.08).
Freshman
Heidi Storey ran the team's best time in the 60 meter dash this season at 8.29.
The Falcons next compete on February 6 at the Riverhawk Invitational at the New Balance track.
