Women's track & field competes in final meets before NE10 Championship

SOUTH KINGSTON, R.I. – The Bentley women's track & field team had a split squad Saturday. Most Falcons competed in the Rhode Island Coaches Invitational Saturday, while two stayed more local for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.

Four Falcons ran in the 200-m dash in Rhode Island. The Bentley group was led by Riley Mahoney's time of 28.95 seconds.

Brooke Buoutte ran the 3,000-m, and she crossed the finish line 11:58.26.

Competing in Boston, Lily Tedford ran the mile in 4:57.77. Unofficially, that stands as the best mile in the Northeast 10 this season. Amelia Luetjen posted a time of 2:21.48 in the 800-m. Also unofficially, that time seventh best 800-m time in the NE10 this season.

Bentley's next meet is the Northeast 10 Championship, Feb. 19-20, at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Feb. 19-20.
