WALTHAM, Mass. – Kayana Armbrister and
Julia Elie each recorded a double-double to lead the No. 17 Bentley women's basketball team to a 73-45 win over Pace Wednesday evening.
Armbrister and Elie both finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. It was the third double-double of the season for Armbrister, and the fifth for Elie.
Brennan Doran scored a team-high 16 points, and
Niya Morgen scored 14 points.
Cherish Bryant added 11 points off the bench.
Bentley (19-3, 15-1 NE10) held just a two-point lead at halftime, 30-28. However, the Falcons opened second half with a 15-2 run, and they never looked back.
Pace (6-19, 2-14 NE10) shot just 25.9-percent from the floor in the second half, while connecting on just one 3-pointer during that time. The Setters were lighting it up from 3-point range in the second quarter. They hit five of their nine attempts from deep, which was a key factor in the close score at halftime.
Overall for the game, the Falcons pulled down more than twice as many rebounds as Pace, 46-21.
Doran has been on a tear for Bentley, averaging 14.0 points per game over the last four games. Leading up that recent run, Doran was averaging 5.0 points per game for the season.
The Falcons' final road game of the regular season is at Adelphi Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1:30 p.m. A Bentley win would assure the Falcons at least a share of the 2025-26 NE10 Regular Season Championship .
