WALTHAM, Mass. – He's only two games into his Bentley career, but Sam Belliveau is already making a significant impact for the Falcon baseball team. The graduate transfer was named the Northeast 10 Pitcher of the Week following Bentley's weekend trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Making his first start of the season against Bridgeport (Feb. 21), Belliveau allowed just two earned runs through six innings. He struck out nine and walked none.

The Bridgeport game was Belliveau's second appearance of the season. His first appearance was out of the bullpen at Lynn (Feb. 7). Belliveau, a former Division-I pitcher at UMass-Amherst, struck out six in four innings while allowing just one run in his Bentley debut.

Through 10 innings this season, Belliveau has 15 strikeouts and 2.70 ERA.
