Regular-season finale for No. 17 Bentley moved from Tuesday to Wednesday

Julia Elie
As of Monday morning, Bentley's home game against Southern New Hampshire has been moved from Tuesday, Feb. 24, to Wednesday, Feb. 25.

WALTHAM, Mass. – After claiming at least a share of the Northeast 10 Regular Season Championship, the No. 17 Bentley women's basketball team can clinch the title outright, and along with it the conference's No. 1 seed, when the Falcons host Southern New Hampshire Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 5:30 p.m. It is the final game of the 2025-26 regular season.

What's at stake
With its 47-38 win at Adelphi this past weekend (Feb. 21), Bentley (20-3, 16-1 NE10) is assured that it can finish the regular season in no worse than a tie for first place with Southern Connecticut (20-5, 15-2 NE10). The Owls conclude their regular season at Franklin Pierce early this week.

Feeling 20, too
The Falcons' win at Adelphi (Feb. 21) was their 20th victory of the season. That marks the prestigious program's 38th season with at least 20 wins.

A new beginnin' for Brennan
Sophomore Brennan Doran averaged 5.0 points per game through the first 18 games of the season. In recent weeks, however, she has been a completely different player. Doran is averaging 13.6 points over her last five games, and she's shooting 71.4-percent from the floor during that stretch.

A new dynamic

It has been no secret that junior Niya Morgen can put up big scoring numbers in a hurry. She is Bentley's leading scorer this season (14.0 points per game), but she has also been crashing the boards more than ever. Morgen notched her first career double-double against Assumption, scoring 10 points to go with 10 rebounds (Feb. 14). She also came up one rebound shy of a double-double at Adelphi (Feb. 21). Morgen has at least eight rebounds in five games this season. She is averaging 5.2 rebounds per game, up from 3.8 one year ago.

Double-digit boards
Julia Elie has pulled down 10+ rebounds this season, and she has five double-doubles. Kayana Armbrister has three double-doubles in her first year with Bentley, including four games with 10+ rebounds. Both Falcons average 6.2 rebounds per game, which is tied for 10th in the NE10.

On both ends
Bentley enters this week with the conference's best scoring defense, allowing just 53.1 points per game. On the other end of the floor, the Falcons have a conference-best 44.5 field-goal percentage. All other conference teams are shooting less than 42.0-percent from the floor.

Scouting Southern New Hampshire (13-11, 8-9 NE10)
The Penmen begin the week with five losses in their last seven games. They had consecutive wins over Adelphi and Franklin Pierce during the recent stretch. SNHU allows the second most points per game (62.4) in the NE10, but it leads the conference in rebounding (41.1). Meghan Gordon averages 14.8 points per game, which ranks fifth in the NE10. She is also the conference's fifth-leading rebounder (7.7).
