WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 22 Bentley women's basketball team returns home to right the ship when the Falcons host Saint Anselm Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 5:30 p.m. It is Bentley's Black History Month game.
NE10 winning streak snapped
Bentley suffered its first Northeast 10 loss of the season at Southern Connecticut, 57-39, this past weekend (Jan. 31). The Falcons entered that weekend 10-0 in the NE10, marking the program's best start to the conference slate since the 2013-214 season.
The second time around
Wednesday is the second meeting of the season between Bentley and Saint Anselm. The Falcons previously beat the Hawks, 76-67, in Manchester (Jan. 7).
Kayana Armbrister had 24 points and 10 rebounds in that win.
Niya Morgen (15 points) and
Cassidy Yeomans (11 points) also scored in double figures.
Knocking 'em down
Bentley continues to be the best shooting team in the NE10, hitting 44.1-percent of its shots from the floor. No other conference team is shooting so much as 43.0-percent.
Julia Elie's 49.6 field-goal percentage ranks fifth in the NE10, and Armbrister is seventh at 47.5-percent.
Cherish Bryant (45.5-percent) and
Niya Morgen (44.7-percent) rank ninth and 10
th, respectively, for field-goal percentage.

Cassidy Yeomans is tied for second in the NE10 for assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8), and she ranks sixth in the conference for assists per game (3.4).
Around the conference
Bentley (14-3, 10-1 NE10) and Southern Connecticut (15-4, 10-1 NE10) are tied for first place in the NE10 standings. American International (14-6, 8-4 NE10) is in third place, followed by Assumption (14-5, 7-5 NE10) and Southern New Hampshire (11-7, 6-5 NE10).
Scouting Saint Anselm (9-7, 4-7 NE10)
The Hawks' most recent outing was a 52-42 win over Adelphi (Jan. 31), which ended a four-game losing streak. Tatum Forbes is the conference's third-leading scorer, averaging 16.0 points per game. Elise MacNair averages 13.0 points, good for ninth in the NE10. On the boards, Kaitlin McDonough is tops in the conference with 9.2 rebounds per game. Forbes averages 7.3 rebounds, which ranks sixth in the NE10. As a team, the Hawks average 62.0 points per game while shooting 39.2-percent from the floor.
