Bentley begins busy week by hosting Army West Point on Tuesday night

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley hosts Army West Point on Tuesday night for the first of three home games this week. Puck drop at Bentley Arena is set for 7:00 pm.

Game Notes

Tuesday's game will be the fourth and final regular season meeting between the Falcons and Black Knights. Bentley is 2-0-1 in the series, with two wins on the road and a tie at home (and shootout loss).

On November 7 in Waltham the teams tied 3-3 and Army won the shootout, 1-0. Two days later in West Point, the Falcons won 3-2. Owen Goodbrand had the game-winner early in the 3rd period and Chase Davis and Oskar Bakkevig scored goals as well.

On November 25 Bentley won again in West Point, 3-1. Goodbrand notched the game-winner, this one coming with 4:07 remaining to break a 1-1 tie. Ryan Mansfield added an empty net goal with 1:03 left to seal it.

Bentley enters Tuesday's game leading the Atlantic Hockey standings with 45 points, from a 13-3-4 record. They lead RIT by six points and have two games in-hand. They lead Holy Cross by nine points and have played the same number of games.

Bentley enters Tuesday's game at 15-8-5 overall. In this week's USCHO poll, they received the fourth most votes of any team outside the top-20.

Jake Black had three assists in Friday's 4-2 win over Holy Cross to extend his points streak to 10 games, which was snapped on Saturday. During the streak, he tallied nine goals and 11 assists.

In Atlantic Hockey, Black is second in points (29), third in goals (13) and sixth in assists (16).

Tuesday's game will be the 93rd all-time meeting between Bentley and Army. The Falcons lead the series 39-37-16.

Following this game, Bentley will be back at home this weekend to host Sacred Heart on Friday and Saturday.
