#12 Men’s Lacrosse visits Frostburg State Wednesday night before NE10 opener on Saturday

WALTHAM, Mass. - #12 ranked Bentley heads down to Maryland to play Frostburg State on Wednesday night before returning home to face Franklin Pierce on Saturday in the first Northeast 10 game of the season.

The Falcons (2-1) are coming off an 18-3 road win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. Brendan Varnerin notched four goals in the victory and Alex Ryan had a hat trick. Both were career highs.

Freshmen were heavily involved in the scoring. Seven different freshmen scored, led by two from Nolan Jennings and Cooper Kraus. First career goals were scored by Jennings, Kraus, Max Hersom, Des Couri and Ben Kupstas.

Through three games, Nick Berglund leads the team with 12 points, on two goals and 10 assists. He is tied for third in the NE10 in assists per game.

Dante D'Amico and Kyle Piersiak rank fifth and sixth respectively in the conference in ground balls per game, with D'Amico at 6.67 and Piersiak at 5.67

This will be the third straight season these teams get together in non-conference play. Bentley has won both meetings. They won on the road in 2024, 12-6, and last season at home 12-5.

Frostburg (3-3) last played on Thursday and defeated Malone University 24-2. They have played NE10 teams Adelphi and Saint Anselm so far this season and lost both games.

NE10 play then gets underway on Saturday when the Falcons host Franklin Pierce at 12:00 pm. Bentley won last season's meeting in Rindge by a 9-6 score. The all-time series is 22-1 in Bentley's favor.

The Ravens are 1-2 on the season. They last played on March 4 and lost to Post, 14-8.
