Brendan Varnerin scored a career-high four goals in a 18-3 win for the #10 ranked Bentley men's lacrosse team over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday afternoon.
Alex Ryan notched three goals and
Nick Berglund registered four assists to bring his total to 10 on the season through three games.
The Falcons raced out to a 4-0 after the first quarter and built its lead to 8-0 before the Spartans finally scored with 4:36 left in the first half.
Varnerin bookended each half with a goal, with 10 seconds left in the first half and 1:41 into the second half.
Bentley's first four goals of the second half were all in man-up situations, by Varnerin, Ryan,
Charlie David and Varnerin again. Those goals extended the lead to 13-1.
The Falcons (2-1) are back on the road on Wednesday night when they visit Frostburg State.
