Kyle Piersiak was named the Northeast 10 men's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping Bentley to a season opening 9-8 win over Mercy.
Piersiak had a career-high 13 ground balls, plus three caused turnovers, in Saturday's win. A goal with 22 seconds remaining by
Tate Fitzmaurice broke an 8-8 tie and gave the Falcons the late win.
Piersiak was a USILA preseason All-America and he's a two-time, first team All-NE10 selection (2024 & 2025).
The Falcons, who moved up to #10 in this week's USILA poll, host #3 Saint Anselm in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
