WALTHAM, Mass. - #19 ranked Bentley men's lacrosse hung tough with #1 Adelphi but dropped a 12-6 decision on Saturday.
Trailing 6-2 at halftime, Bentley went on a 3-1 run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 7-5.
Goals were scored by
Harrison Murray,
Ben Kupstas and
Nick Berglund.
But Adelphi scored the final two goals of the quarter to lead 9-5 going into the fourth.
Alex Ryan notched a man-up goal for the Falcons 2:03 into the fourth quarter to make it a 9-6 game, but the Panthers scored the final three of the afternoon.
Bentley (3-4, 1-1 NE10) next plays on Wednesday at Saint Anselm.
