WALTHAM, Mass. – Autumn Mathews and Lauren Rochel were selected for Northeast 10 weekly awards after helping lead Bentley to a 2-0 week. Mathews is the Defensive Player of the Week and Rochel is the Goalie of the Week.

The Falcons blanked Felician 22-0 last Wednesday for the second shutout in program history. They followed that with a 14-7 road win at NE10 foe Assumption on Saturday.

Mathews, a sophomore from Reading, Massachusetts, totaled six ground balls and three caused turnovers in the two games.

Rochel made 16 saves and had a .696 save percentage in the victory at Assumption. She played 30 minutes against Felician and made four saves to preserve the shutout.

This is her second career NE10 Goalie of the Week award.

Bentley next plays on Wednesday at home against Southern New Hampshire.
