WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley softball team is spending spring break in space… sort of.
The Falcons (1-5) head to Melbourne, Florida where they will play 10 games at the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Space Coast Complex. It all begins Saturday, March 7, with games against Bridgeport and No. 15 Saginaw Valley. The trip concludes with a doubleheader against St. Thomas Aquinas, March 12.
Bentley's 2026 season started with six games in Florida one month ago. That trip concluded with an emphatic 10-6 win over Saginaw Valley (Feb. 8), which was ranked No. 5 in the nation at the time.
Becca Harris and
Emma Callahan both drove in three runs in the win over Saginaw Valley. Harris finished the game 2-for-5 at the plate, and Callahan went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
Hailey Feiler produced a multi-hit game by going 2-for-4 in the win.
Bentley's freshman pitching is already showing that the Falcons have a bright future in the circle.
Taylor Zajac was brilliant in her collegiate debut (Feb. 6). She pitched six innings against East Stroudsburg, allowing just one run on six hits. In just her second career start,
Sophie Jorjorian allowed only two earned runs through five innings at Nova Southeastern (Feb. 7). Furthermore,
Vittoria Cuscia has allowed only one run in her last three appearances (6.2 IP).
The Falcons begin conference play at Franklin Pierce, March 21. Bentley's home opener is March 28 against Saint Michael's.
