BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Curt Heath went 3-4 with three RBI and
Sam Belliveau pitched a strong 7.1 innings to lead Bentley past Molloy 6-1 for its third straight win.
Heath had a two-run double in the fourth inning and an RBI triple as part of Bentley's three-run eighth inning.
Belliveau scattered nine hits over 7.1 innings and struck out six. He improved to 2-0 on the season.
Heath doubled in the fourth inning to bring home
Stan DeMartinis III and
Brendan Sencaj to give Bentley a 2-1 lead.
The game stayed that way until the 8
th when Heath tripled in Sencaj to make it 3-1. The next batter
Jimmy Mitchell singled to score Heath and the next batter
Brian Hersh homered to left to make it 6-1.
After Belliveau departed with two on and one out in the eighth inning,
Keegan Antelman got out of the inning, then closed out the game in the ninth.
The Falcons (6-4) and Molloy (5-4) will play again on Monday at 11:00 am.
