WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley and Assumption battled in a close match on Wednesday in Worcester, but it was the Greyhounds that emerged with a 4-3 victory in Northeast 10 play.
The Falcons gained the early advantage by winning the doubles point, but Assumption won four of six in singles to take the win.
In doubles,
Ansh Chadha and
Dante Massetta won the No. 1 match, 6-3 over Igor Kubalka and Michele Elia. The No. 2 match saw
Ryan Reda and
Rafael Cueto defeat Luigi Bassani and Luca Figueiredo, 6-1.
Singles play saw Massetta take the No. 1 match in three sets over Herman Aguirre.
Jairaj Sehwani won the No. 5 match over Jakob Bordt.
Bentley (4-7, 3-5 NE10) plays again on Thursday when they host Adelphi for Senior Day.
