WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's golf team qualified for the
NCAA Division II Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday.
Bentley is the No. 5 seed in the East Region. It is the Falcons' 13
th NCAA bid in the past 15 seasons – and the program's 18
th NCAA appearance the past 24 years.
Under second-year head coach
Iain Highfield, this year's squad finished second in three different spring tournaments.
Jack Kantowski has been setting the pace for Bentley. He earned Northeast 10 Player of the Week (April 10) by shooting 71-67-138 in the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational. Kantowski has placed among the top five in three tournaments this spring.
Timmy Adams has also been playing well this spring, earning two top-10 finishes.
The East Region includes top-seeded Adelphi, followed by Assumption, Post, and Southern New Hampshire. St. Thomas Aquinas is the #6 seed in the region, and Wilmington (Del.) is #7.
The East Regional is May 7-9 at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
