GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Bentley made it a perfect 2-0 start to the 2026 season with a 3-0 victory over Wilmington University on Sunday.
Sydney DeRoche,
Tilly Fitzgibbons and
Abi Hennessey all scored in the second half.
The win followed Friday's season opening 3-0 victory over Molloy.
The Falcons largely dominated with a 24-6 edge in total shots and 13-3 in shots on goal.
Still the match was tied after 62 minutes of play until DeRoche scored the breakthrough goal, assisted by Hennessey and
Rose Frisoli.
11 minutes later sophomore
Tilly Fitzgibbons made it 2-0, with the assists coming from
Heidi Lawrence and
Maddy LePage.
Hennessey provided the exclamation point with a goal in the 88
th minute, giving her four points on the weekend (one goal, two assists).
Holly DiPalo made three saves as the Falcons kept their second straight clean sheet to begin the season.
Bentley next plays on Wednesday when they travel to Queens College for a 3:00 pm match.
