FLUSHING, N.Y. - #24 ranked Bentley improved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-2 road win over Queens College on Wednesday afternoon.
Six different players scored, including the first career goals for
Maddy LePage,
Kendra Foley and
Claire Saunders. First career points were notched by
Campbell Miller,
Tessa Perrone-Crompton and
Mia Ruiz on assists.
Bentley jumped out to a 1-0 lead after just 5:50 on the second goal of the season by
Olivia Matthews.
Queens tied the game in the 31
st minute, but just before the first half whistle, LePage scored from a rebound off a shot by Miller for a 2-1 lead.
In the second half, DeRoche and Foley scored 1:27 apart in the 55
th and 57
th minutes to take the lead to 4-1.
Queens pulled a goal back in the 57
th minute before Vigue and Saunders added to Bentley's tally in the 75
th and 88
th minutes.
Bentley scored on better than half of their shots on target with six goals from 11 shots on goal.
The Falcons continue their season opening road swing on Friday when they face D'Youville at 3:00 pm.
