MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Bentley football team reached 600 yards of total offense – 602 yards, to be precise – for the first time since 2013 in a 48-14 thumping at Saint Anselm Saturday afternoon. The Falcons have won 11 of their last 12 games against Saint Anselm.
The last time Bentley reached 600 yards of total offense was a 626-yard performance against Pace 13 years ago.
Bentley's dynamic quarterback duo had a field say against the Hawks (0-2).
Luke Warnock, a junior, threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns, while senior
Isaiah Osgood ran for 168 yards and two scores. Osgood more than doubled his career high for rushing yards in a game, and Warnock reached 300 passing yards for the first time in his career.
Meanwhile, senior tight end
Cooper Marcum set his career highs for receptions (7) and receiving yards (101). He grabbed two touchdown catches in the win.
It was an ominous start for the Falcons (1-1) when Saint Anselm took a 7-0 lead just three minutes into the game. It took Bentley a little over four minutes to answer right back when Warnock connected with Marcum for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
The Hawks' ensuing possession was a quick three-and-out. Bentley regained possession at its own 24-yard line, but it took the Falcons only two minutes to march down the field 76 yards. Osgood scored a rushing touchdown from 12 yards out to give Bentley its first lead.
Bentley held a 24-7 lead at halftime. After giving up the early touchdown, the Falcon defense prevented the Hawks from getting inside Bentley's 35-yard line for the rest of the half.
Marcum caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Warnock early in the fourth quarter. Osgood provided the exclamation point later in the fourth with an 82-yard touchdown run.
The Bentley defense totaled four sacks, including one each by
Jaxon Pereira,
Lou DiBiase, and
Christian Pacheco. Bentley's lone takeaway was a fumble forced by
Jagger Carreiro and recovered by
David Brown Jr. early in the third quarter.
Sophomore kicker
Peter Vafiadis made both of his field-goal attempts (24, 29), and two of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.
The Falcons make their 2026 home debut during Falcon Weekend Saturday, Sept. 19, against Post. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
