WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's soccer team's five-game road stretch continues when the Falcons take on Assumption (Sept. 16, 4 p.m.) and Adelphi (Sept. 19, 1 p.m.) this week. The match at Assumption is non-conference, while the contest at Adelphi marks the Falcons' first Northeast 10 game of the season.

The bounce back
Bentley suffered consecutive losses against Post (Sept. 5) and Franklin Peirce (Sept. 9), but the Falcons bounced back with a 2-0 win at Holy Family (Sept. 12).
Logan Veloria and
Antonio Di Gaudio both scored their second goals of the season in the win, while
Alessandro Bizzini needed just one save for the shutout.

Bentley begins the week with a 2-2-1 overall record. It's the third straight season that the Falcons are .500 or better through the first five games.

Bentley is unbeaten (6-0-1) in its last seven matches against Assumption. They Greyhounds' last win over the Falcons was Sept. 2022. On the other hand, the Falcons and Panthers reached a tie in three of their last four head-to-head matches. One of those ties was in the NE10 Semifinals – and the Falcons advanced on penalty kicks. Another tie was in the 2024 NE10 Quarterfinals, where the Panthers advanced on penalty kicks.

Scouting Assumption (3-1)
After starting the season with a loss to Roberts Wesleyan, Assumption won consecutive game against Molloy, Fisher, and Saint Anselm. The Greyhounds totaled 12 goals in those three wins. Cody Holbert leads the NE10 in scoring with six goals.
Scouting Adelphi (1-2-2)
The Panthers went winless in their first three games of the season before beating Monroe, 3-1. Adelphi's most recent match was a scoreless tie against Molloy – the Panthers' second scoreless tie of the season (Mercy). Enrico Cesarini Sforza leads the team in total points with five, including three assists. Zain Suterwalla is the leading scorer with two goals.
