The Falcons set the tone right away by scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Hunter Smith began the game by reaching base on an error, and he moved into scoring position by swiping second base.

Hunter easily scored on a triple hit by Zupkus, and then Zupkus trotted home on a base knock by Bright. Bright later came in to score on an error.

Bentley erupted for an eight-run fifth inning. The rally included an RBI double by Bright, bases-loaded walks by Tommy Goonan, Rene Nunez, and Brendan Sencaj, and a two-run single from Zupkus.
