WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley graduate student
Nick Pappas is the recipient of the
Northeast 10 Sport Excellence Award for the 2026 baseball season.
The NE10 Sport Excellence Award is bestowed to the student-athlete with outstanding academic and athletic achievement in their respective sport.
Pappas set two Bentley records on his way to earning All-America Third Team from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Pappas was also named an All-Region recipient, and he earned All-NE10 First Team for the second consecutive year.
Pappas totaled 103 hits during Bentley's historic 2026 season. He is the first Falcon in program history to reach 100 hits in a season. Pappas also scored 84 runs this past spring, which stands as a Bentley record. The left fielder helped lead Bentley to its first NE10 title, first NCAA Championship appearance, and first NCAA East Regional title in 2026.
Overall for the season, Pappas' slash line was .396/.463/.631 in his final season with Bentley. He clubbed 12 home runs, drove in 61 runs, and led the team in doubles (23).
