Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Riley Piromalli and Payton Doiron both earned complete game victories, while Kylee Amato and Jordan Krause both homered as the Bentley softball team won both ends of a Northeast-10 doubleheader at Saint Anslem Monday afternoon.

Bentley 9, Saint Anselm 1

Piromalli allowed just one unearned run through seven innings to lead the Falcons to a 9-1 win over the Hawks. It was her seventh complete game of the season, as she improved her record to 5-5 with a 2.63 ERA.

Krause hit a solo home run with two outs in the first inning to give Bentley a 1-0 lead. It was her first home run of the season, and the 12th of her career.

The Falcons erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning. Bentley loaded the bases with nobody out thanks to walks drawn by Samantha Hess and Krause, and a single by Hailey Feiler. Katie Welch stepped to the plate and smacked a two-run single. Two batters later, Morgan Fraitzl hit a two-run double to score Welch and Feiler.

The big rally ended with a three-run homer clubbed by Amato. It was her first-career home run.

Krause finished the game 2-for-3 with three runs scored, and Gabriella Longo also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Bentley 7. Saint Anselm 4

Doiron tossed her first complete game of the season, allowing four runs in seven innings as Bentley beat St. Anslem, 7-4.

The Falcons struck first in the second inning. Welch drew a leadoff walk, then Sabrina Grizzaffi and Longo both singled to load the bases. Jess Morrison took advantage of the opportunity by delivering an RBI single. Bentley added two more runs in the following frame thanks to RBI base hits by Lauren Massry and Longo.

The Hawks tied the game, 3-3, in the bottom of the third inning, but Bentley rallied for a four-run fourth. Once again, the Falcons loaded the bases. Hess and Krause both earned walks, and Welch reached base with hit.

Grizzaffi cleared the bases with double to right-center field, and she later came in to score on a single by Massry.

Krause, Grizzaffi, Massry, and Longo each finished the game with two hits.

The Falcons continue their NE10 slate at home, April 6, when they host New Haven for a doubleheader.
