Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – Morgan Fraitzl went 3-for-3 at the plate, but the Bentley softball team couldn't overcome an early 3-0 deficit when it lost a first round Northeast-10 Championship game at Saint Anselm, 4-2, Tuesday afternoon.
The Hawks pushed three runs across the plate in the first inning. Bentley put its leadoff runner on base in the second inning thanks to a Fraitzl single, but the next three Falcons were retired in order. Ava Lanza led off the top of the third inning by reaching base on an error, but once again three consecutive Falcons were set down.
Bentley broke through in the fourth in. Fraitzl got the rally started with a one-out single, and Lauren Massry came through with a two-out base hit. With the two runners on base, Jess Morrison brought them both home by clubbing a double to right-center field.
