LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern's Ashley Shimberg scored two goals to help the Mocs to a 3-0 victory over Bentley on Friday night in the first ever meeting between the two programs.

Simberg got the scoring started with a goal in the 19th minute, and bookended the scoring with a penalty kick goal in the 78th.

In between those tallies, Sierra Spirk scored the game's second goal in the 38th minute. 

Florida Southern improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Falcons were dealt their first defeat of the season and go to 2-1 on the year.

The Falcons take on Eckerd on Sunday in the final match of their Florida trip.
