WALTHAM, Mass. – The #3 ranked Bentley women's soccer team continued to make history with a 4-2 victory over Southern New Hampshire to break the program record for consecutive wins.
The eight-match winning streak broke the previous record of seven, set by the 1996 team. On Tuesday, the Falcons rose up the Division II national poll for the fourth straight week, to #3.
The Falcons started fast with two goals in the opening 14-plus minutes.
Olivia Matthews notched her fourth of the season in the ninth minute, assisted by
Rose Frisoli. Just over five minutes later,
Sydney DeRoche scored for the fifth time in 2026, with Matthews getting the assist this time, to make it 2-nil.
The Penmen pulled a goal back in the 20
th minute, but Bentley restored its two-goal lead when
Tilly Fitzgibbons was on target in the 37
th minute.
The ball was worked down the left wing and a cross by
McKay Pratt into the penalty area was deflected away by the Penmen defense. However, the ball landed at the feet of Fitzgibbons at the edge of the 18-yard box, who lofted a perfectly placed shot to the far post for the goal and a 3-1 lead.
SNHU again cut its deficit to one-goal when Avary Hall scored in the 52
nd minute.
In the 60
th minute, it was
Abi Hennessey who scored yet again to give the Falcons a 4-2 advantage.
Rose Frisoli delivered a free kick from 35 yards out into the penalty area that Hennessey connected on for a looping header over the SNHU keeper. It was Hennessey's eight goal of the season and fifth straight match with a goal.
Falcons goalkeeper
Holly DiPalo made four saves for her sixth win of the season.
Bentley will look to keep rolling on Saturday when they host Assumption at 3:00 pm.
