WALTHAM, Mass. – Megan Daly and Olivia Matthews earned awards from the Northeast 10 following a 2-0 week for the Bentley women's soccer team. Daly was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Matthews the Rookie of the Week.

Playing center back, Daly's defensive efforts helped Bentley post two shutouts in wins over Assumption and D'Youville.

A team captain, she played all 90 minutes in the 1-0 victory at Assumption and 81 minutes in the win over D'Youville on Saturday night.

The Falcons held those teams to just nine shots on goal combined.

Matthews was the goal scorer, in the 2^nd minute, in the win over the Greyhounds as Bentley earned three NE10 points on the road.  She also scored the first goal against D'Youville, this one in the 6^th minute, and she notched an assist on a goal by Abi Hennessey in the 41^st minute.

On the season Matthews has three goals and two assists and is second on the team with eight points.

Bentley next plays on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Aquinas at 2:30 in a non-conference match.
