WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 10 Bentley women's basketball team opens its Northeast 10 slate at Southern New Hampshire Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 5:30 p.m.
The Falcons began their 2025-26 season in the Southern Connecticut Tipoff Tournament, Nov. 15-16. Bentley narrowly lost its opener against Mercy, 64-61. But the Falcons bounced back with a dominant 86-50 win over Georgian Court.
Despite the close result against Mercy, Bentley had a forgettable game shooting the ball. Bentley went 4-for-23 from beyond the arc, and just 1-for-5 from the free-throw line.
It was a completely different story in the win over Georgian Court. Bentley shot 11-for-20 from beyond the arc, and the Falcons went 15-for-19 from the free-throw line.
Freshman
Ava Orlando led Bentley in scoring with 15 points off the bench against Georgian Court. For a brief moment, Orlando held a Bentley record during the win over Georgian Court. She hit her first five 3-point attempts, but missed her sixth and final attempt from distance. Orlando would have set the program record for most made 3-pointers without a miss. Eight different Falcons in program history have gone 4-for-4 from 3-point range.
Junior
Niya Morgen, who earned All-NE10 Second Team last season, scored 12 points against Mercy. She needed just 19 minutes on the floor to score 11 points against Georgian Court.
Post player
Julia Elie opened her senior season with 13 points and five rebounds against Mercy. In that same game, freshman
Cherish Bryant made her collegiate debut by scoring 10 points while shooting 5-for-7 from the floor.
Sophomore
Brennan Doran reached double digits in scoring for the first time in her Bentley career when she net 13 points against Georgian Court.
Southern New Hampshire (1-1) began its season in the Saint Anselm Opener (Nov. 14). The Penmen beat Post, 68-55, and lost to Felician, 78-66. SNHU tied for the seventh in the NE10 Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll.
