WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University All-America
Maggie Whitmore (South Portland, Maine/South Portland HS) was named to the 2024-25 Division II Women's Basketball Academic All-District 1 team by the College Sports Communicators. It's the second straight year she's been recognized.
Whitmore will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
The six-foot graduate student led the Falcons to the Northeast-10 regular season and tournament championships, the NCAA Division II East Region title, the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and a number five ranking in the final WBCA Division II coaches poll.
Whitmore averaged 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the 33-2 Falcons with her season including four 20-point games and three double-doubles. In seven postseason games, she produced 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists a game.
Whitmore's career totals included 1,465 points, 781 rebounds and 266 wins. She was a starter in 122 of 125 career games and helped the Falcons to a four-year record of 101-27.
Whitmore is pursuing her MBA in leadership after graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2024 as a management major.
