WALTHAM, Mass. – Women's golfer Isabel Gonzalez was named both the Northeast 10 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week after two individual wins and leading Bentley to two tournament titles.

A freshman from Monterrey, Mexico, Gonzalez was the individual medalist at both the Franklin Pierce Invitational and the Southern Maine Invitational.

At Franklin Pierce on September 18 she shot a 77 to win the tournament by two shots. The Falcons won that event by eight shots over Assumption.

At Southern Maine on September 21 she fired a  -1 round of 71 to win by four shots. As a team Bentley cruised to victory by 43 shots.

She is the first Bentley's women's golfer to be recognized with NE10 weekly awards with the program in its second year of competition.

The Falcons are next in action at the Northeast 10 Championship on September 30 and October 1 at Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown, New Hampshire.
