WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley senior linebacker
Henry Schouten was named the Northeast 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week after a standout performance in Saturday's season opener against West Chester.
Schouten, from Englewood, Florida, recorded 16 tackles with 10 solo tackles. He also recorded one tackle for a loss.
It's the third-most tackles in a single game for Schouten, who had a 19-tackle and a 17-tackle games last season. He was named All-NE10 First Team last season, and was a one-time D2football.com National Defensive Player of the Week.
The Falcons are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13, when they travel to Bryant. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.Â
