Falcons ready to host first-place Hawks Wednesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following consecutive games on the road, the Bentley men's basketball team is back in Waltham to host Saint Anselm Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m.  
 
They meet again
Bentley lost at Saint Anselm, 78-70, just about one month ago (Jan. 7). Cash McClure scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Cooper Farrall also had a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.
 
30 for 30
Cash McClure matched his career-high in scoring when he totaled 30 points at Southern Connecticut (Jan. 31). He shot 8-for-18 from the floor, 4-for-8 from 3-point range, and 10-for-10 from the line. Last season, McClure dropped 30 points on American International (Nov. 2024).

Cash McClure not only leads the NE10 in free-throw percentage, but his 91.7-percent mark also ranks seventh in NCAA DII.
 
From a distance
Bentley's 3-point percentage leads the NE10 at 36.7-percent. Every other team is shooting below 35.0-percent from beyond the arc. Mantas Zilys is shooting a conference-leading 48.2-percent from downtown, while no other player is as high as 46.0-percent.

Bentley continues the lead the NE10 in rebounding, averaging 39.9 boards per game. Cooper Farrall ranks fourth in the NE10 for rebounding with 8.8 rebounds per game. Cash McClure (6.9) ranks ninth, and Chase Clarke (6.6) ranks 10th. Bentley is the only team with three players who reach rank top 10 in the NE10 for rebounding.

Cooper Farrall's scoring averaging of 16.6 points ranks fourth in the NE10, and Cash McClure is close behind by ranking seventh with 15.7 points per game.
 
Scouting Saint Anslem (17-4, 10-1 NE10)
The Hawks are in first place in the NE10, and they enter this week with a five-game winning stream. Saint Anselm is the conference's second-highest scoring team (83.0), narrowly trailing Assumption (83.6). The Hawks shoot a conference-best 49.8-percent from the floor. Five players (min. 10 games) average double-digits in scoring. The group is led by Josh Morissette with 14.8 points per game. Jovan Ristic averages 9.5 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the NE10.
