Softball's home series against Adelphi has been moved up to start Friday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following 12 consecutive games on the road, the Bentley softball team returns home to host Adelphi for four Northeast 10 games, April 17-18. The series was initially scheduled for April 18-19, but Sunday's doubleheader has been moved to Friday.

Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. Saturday's games are scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
 
Get out the rye bread and mustard, Grandma
Carly DiMento's third home run of the season was a grand slam during Bentley's 8-0 win at Assumption earlier this week (April 14). DiMento also homered last week at American International (April 11). Her first home run was the season was at Franklin Pierce (March 21).
 
Double smash
Emma Callahan homered twice in a game at American International last week (April 11). She is tied with Carly DiMento for the team lead in home runs (3).
 
Harris homers
Becca Harris launched her first-career home run at American International last week (April 12). It was a two-run shot in the sixth inning of Bentley's 6-3 win.
 
Runs Baker'd In
Maddie Baker's 25 RBI this season leads Bentley, and the total ranks eighth in the NE10. Baker also leads the Falcons in slugging percentage (.529) and doubles (11).
 
Getting Sophisticated
Sophie Jorjorian was outstanding in her last two starts. She pitched complete games against both American International (April 12) and Assumption (April 14), and she didn't allow an earned run in either outing.
 
Taylor made
Despite getting roughed up by Assumption in her last start (April 14), Taylor Zajac continues to hold an impressive ERA while eating up innings. Among all NE10 pitchers with at least 70.0 innings in the circle this season, Zajac's 3.74 ERA ranks eighth.
 
Scouting Adelphi (24-12, 20-2 NE10)
The Panthers' only two conference losses so far this season are against Assumption (March. 28) and Southern New Hampshire (April 4). Adelphi leads the NE10 in home runs (20). Kaitlyn Klepper has a team-high four homers, while Maddy Moore leads Adelphi in RBI with 20. In the circle, Jenna Plume has a 2.75 ERA through 117.0 innings (most IP in NE10), and Tori Parente has a 2.87 ERA in 63.1 innings.
