WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley men's soccer was picked to finish second by the Northeast 10 coaches in the preseason poll that was released on Wednesday.

The voting was extremely close with the Falcons accumulating 70 points and one first-place vote. Southern New Hampshire is the preseason favorite with 79 points and seven first-place votes. Franklin Pierce was third in the poll with 69 points and two first-place votes.

The Falcons, who are ranked 19^th in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, are coming off a historic 2025 season that saw them win the Northeast 10 Conference regular season championship for the first time since 1995 and qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1975. They also reached the finals of the NE10 Championship playoffs.

Head coach Gary Crompton, the 2025 NE10 Coach of the Year, has 24 players returning from last season's squad, plus eight newcomers looking to make an impact.

The 2026 season gets underway on August 27 with a home game against Georgian Court.
