WALTHAM, Mass. – A new men's soccer season gets underway on Thursday and the Bentley Falcons are primed to build on the achievements of 2025.

Ranked 19^th in the preseason Division II national poll, the Falcons kick off the campaign with two home games. They host Georgian Court on Thursday at 12:00 pm and Caldwell on Saturday at 2:30 pm.

The Falcons made their mark last season in a number of ways. They won the Northeast 10 regular season championship for the first time since 1995, made the finals of the NE10 playoffs, qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1975 and were ranked as high as 7^th in the national poll.

The NE10 coaches foresee a close battle at the top of the standings this season as Southern New Hampshire, Bentley and Franklin Pierce were all within 10 points of each other in the preseason poll.

Head coach Gary Crompton, the reigning NE10 Coach of the Year, sees his team enter the season with a mix of core returning players and newcomers looking to make an impact.

Co-captains Wynn Hammand and Michael Gouvin are two of the core returning players. Hammond, a defender, was second on the team in minutes played last season. Gouvin was named second team All-Conference as a fullback and ranked third in the NE10 with seven assists.

Graduate student Mathieu Page was named third team All-Conference last season at fullback, giving Bentley a pair of All-Conference performers at the position on both sides of the field.

In front of the backline, senior Zach Spitznagle helps anchor the midfield. The Williston, Vermont native started all 18 matches in 2025 and led the team in minutes played.

Further up the pitch, Logan Veloria and Antonio Santos are the team's two leading returning goal scorers. Veloria, a junior, received All-Conference and All-Region honors after notching 10 points in 2025.

Santos has 26 career points (nine goals and eight assists) entering his senior year.

Among the newcomers looking to make an impact, center forward Antonio Di Gaudio is a graduate transfer from Florida Tech. He is coming off a season where he scored nine goals and was named both All-Conference and All-Region.

Goalkeeper Alessandro Bizzini transferred from New Haven and was named second team All-Conference in 2025, as he looks to compete to help replace Cam Hall, the starter the last two years.

Following the opening weekend at home, the Falcons embark on a five-game road swing that sees them place Post, Franklin Pierce, Holy Family, Assumption and Adelphi. That match against the Panthers on September 19 is the first NE10 match.

A midweek home match against Assumption on September 23 precedes a home match against AIC on September 26, where the program will celebrate Alumni Day. Alumni from throughout the program's history who are interested in attending can sign up at the following link: Alumni Day Registration
