WALTHAM, Mass. – A pair of shutouts in two opening weekend wins for Bentley earned Evelyn Beers the Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Week award.

A junior from Poulsbo, Washington, Beers played 177 out of 180 minutes combined for the two games.

The Falcons won both games 3-0, over Molloy on Friday and Wilmington University on Sunday. She led a defensive effort that saw the Falcons limit those teams to just seven combined shots on target.

Bentley will look to continue its unbeaten start to the season on Wednesday at Queens College, followed by a game on Friday at D'Youville.
