WALTHAM, Mass. – The Falcons aren't satisfied with making history this early in the season. Days after being ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll, the Bentley women's soccer team hosts American International Friday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m. It is Alumni Day and International Day at Bentley Soccer Field.
 
Top 10
The Falcons are nationally ranked top 10 for the first time in program history. Bentley jumped 10 spots from the previous week, when the Falcons were No. 17.
 
25 years in the making
Bentley is 5-0 this season, marking the program's best start to a since 2001 (6-0).
 
The Hennessey hatty
Abi Hennessey had her first career hat trick during Bentley's 6-2 win over Daemen (Sept. 13). With five goals this season, Hennessey is tied for second in the NE10 for scoring.
 
The breakthrough
Senior Morgan Wagner scored her first-career goal during the win against Daemen (Sept. 13). She found the back of the net in the 84^th minute, assisted by Annie Vigue.
 
Spreading the wealth
11 different Falcons have scored at least one goal through five games this season. Following Abi Hennessey's five goals, Sydney DeRoche has scored three times this season. Olivia Matthews, Cami Ayandele, and Kendra Foley each have two goals so far.
 
Defense locked in
Out of Bentley's five wins this season, three have been shutouts. Graduate goalkeeper Holly DiPalo has made 11 saves in her five starts.

Bentley leads in the NE10 in shots per game (25.6) and shots on goal per game (13.0).
 
Scouting American International (3-2)
In contrast to the Falcons, the Yellow Jackets rank second to last in the NE10 for shots on goal per game (7.8). Liz Braz is the only player AIC player multiple goals this season – she has two. AIC and Bentley have identical goals-against average (0.80) heading into Friday's match. Dating back to the 2022 season, Bentley has won its last five matches against AIC.
