Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. – Clarkson University received goals from
five different players as the Golden Knights defeated the Bentley
hockey team 5-1 on Friday night in a non-conference game.
Clarkson improves to 3-2 with the win, while Bentley falls to
0-3.
Already leading 1-0 in the first period, Clarkson freshman
defenseman David Pratt scored a short-handed goal at the 9:54 mark
to give his team a 2-0 lead.
The Golden Knights essentially put the game away in the second
period with two more goals, coming from freshman forward Matt Zarbo
at 3:05 and junior forward Nick Tremblay at 11:32.
The Falcons got one back on the power play in the third period,
as junior Jamie Nudy
(West Chester, Pa./Choate Rosemary Hall) scored his first
of the season at 3:37 with senior Dustin
Cloutier (Berkley, Mich./Mahoning Valley Phantoms) and
freshman Zach Ledford
(Folsom, Calif./Wichita Falls Wildcats) on the
assists.
Bentley couldn't get any closer however, and Clarkson finished
the scoring at 17:12 on a goal by sophomore Adam Pawlick.
Junior goalie Paul Karpowich made 24 saves to earn the win for
the Golden Knights.
