Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. – Hosts Saint Michael's scored first half goals in the 14th and 30th minutes in a 2-0 victory over Bentley University in Northeast-10 women's soccer play Tuesday afternoon.
The goals came first from senior Olivia Biron, her third of the season, followed by junior Cassie Chernicki.
Biron's goal was setup by a through ball from midfielder Carley Pestana, which got behind the defense and allowed Biron a tap-in goal.
About 16 minutes later Chernicki gave the Purple Knights a 2-0 lead, as her shot from 25 yards out curled in to the top left corner of the net.
Falcons goalie Deirdre Macrorie (Winchester, Mass.) made 11 saves, six in the first half and five in the second.
Bentley returns to the field on Friday afternoon when they host AIC at 3:30 pm.
