WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley women's soccer is unbeaten in its last four matches and they will look to extend that streak on Tuesday night when they visit Southern New Hampshire for a 7:00 pm kickoff.
The Falcons have just four matches left in the regular season and the battle for playoff positions is heating up.
Bentley will go into Tuesday's game with a 2-2-1 NE10 record for seven points, which has them in sixth place. However, Bentley has at least one game in-hand on three of the teams above them.
The top seven teams qualify for the NE10 Championship, which begins with the first round on Sunday, November 9.
Bentley is 3-0-1 during its four-game unbeaten streak. On Saturday they defeated Southern Connecticut at home 1-0 on a goal by
Abi Hennessey in the 55
th minute, assisted by
Evelyn Beers.
Goalkeeper
Holly DiPalo made three saves for her fourth shutout of the season. She ranks second in the NE10 in save percentage (.820) and third in goals against average (0.95).
Bentley has conceded just one goal in the last four games, which came in a 1-1 tie at Saint Thomas Aquinas on October 15.
Southern New Hampshire comes into Tuesday's game at 3-6-2 overall and 1-3-2 in NE10 play for five points. Their most recent match was a 3-0 defeat at Pace on Saturday.
Last season's game in Waltham ended in a 1-1 tie with
Heidi Lawrence scoring for Bentley.
The Falcons will be back at home on Friday to host Saint Anselm for a 3:30 pm kickoff.
