Doubleheader against Post moved from Waltham to New York

Tommy Bolton
WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley baseball team's 2025 home debut has been put on hold. The Falcons were scheduled to host Post for a doubleheader Saturday, March 1, but the games have instead been moved to Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. Live video will not be available, and live stats be on a five-minute delay (approximately).

Repeat on deck?
With a 5-2 record entering this weekend, Bentley matched it seven-game start from a year ago. The 2024 Falcons went on to win a program-record 29 games.

Stan the usual
Stan DeMartinis III has already belted five home runs in 28 at-bats this season. Still, arguably his biggest hit in the early going is a walk-off, two-run double against St. Thomas Aquinas (Feb. 21). The senior missed all of 2024 with an injury, but he's picking up right where he left off in 2023. Two years ago, DeMartinis led Bentley in home runs (11), RBI (49), steals (12), runs (52), and slugging percentage (.637).

Nothing rocky in first career start
Freshman Zach Eigenbrod made his first career start on the mound against Bridgeport last week (Feb. 22). The Colorado native hurled five shutout innings, allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out six. He earned his second career victory. Eigenbrod's first win was when he pitched out of the bullpen at Lynn (Feb. 8).

Stuck on Glupe
Ryan Glupe takes a team-leading 3.12 ERA (min. 5.0 IP) in the weekend. He also has a 1.04 WHIP while holding batters to a .179 batting average through his two starts (8.2 IP).

Never jaded
Through two starts (9.0 IP), Jayden Longdin is limiting batters to a .212 batting average. He has allowed only four hits and struck out seven so far this season.

What's a sophomore slump?
After earning All-NE10 Third Team and All-NE10 Rookie Team in 2024, Brendan Sencaj is showing that his freshman season was no fluke. The first baseman is hitting .448 with two homers and 11 RBI through the first seven games of the season.

Van wild
David VanderZouwen hit his first-career home run in the win over Bridgeport last week (Feb. 22). The freshman from Reading, Mass. has four hits through his first nine career at-bats.

Scouting Post (0-5)
The Eagles are still searching for their first win of 2025. They began the year against NE10 member Franklin Pierce, and fell 10-3 to the Ravens. Damaurys Rodriguez has the team's only home run, even though the team is collectively hitting a respectable .279. The pitching staff, however, has a 8.57 ERA. Post had a 28-21 overall record last year, as it competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
